Martina Manyà is a plastic artist. Her work is materialized in different supports and formats from painting on canvas and illustration, to books, posters, collage and prints for clothing and textiles. The protagonists of her work are always color and experimentation in abstraction. She combines personal practice and creative production with teaching. She has published different illustrated books and artist books and has exhibited in Barcelona, Lisbon, Madrid and Setúbal (Portugal).
She studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona where she became interested in colors, composition and abstraction which are the key elements of her work. She lived for 11 years in Lisbon where she was awarded the José Luis da Cruz Vilaça scholarship.
